NIC's Agent App Vision

2023 Candidate Initiatives

Below you will find a select few candidate initiatives that we are considering for development in 2023. We are interested in your feedback and input to help us prioritize these initiatives.

  1. CLIENT (POLICY OWNER) APP
    An ‘Agent Centric’ mobile application that enables Policy Owners to access their in force information.  The app would be branded for the Agent and/or their BGA. The first phase would allow the Agent to; i) send a direct message to their Policy Owner and allow the Policy Owner to respond and ii) share a document with their Policy Owner and have the Policy Owner share a document with the Agent. Future phases may include some self-serve capabilities including the ability for the Policy Owner to submit policy changes to the Agent (e.g address change) or fill out a new insurance application or fact finder. The Client App would allow the BGA, Agent and possibly the  Carrier to target market products to Policy Owners.

     

  2. CLIENT REPORT
    An insurance summary report that lists the policy owners’ in force policy details.  The report would be branded for the Agent and/or BGA and would be designed for the Agent to share with their clients.  Future phases may include the ability for the BGA and/or Agent to add commentary, Carrier ratings and targeted marketing messages.

     

  3. MANUAL DATA ENTRY
    Enable users to manually add and/or upload policies and policy details that are not available in a Carrier feed. 

     

  4. OPPORTUNITY MANAGEMENT WORKFLOW
    Workflow to manage sales and client engagement opportunities (e.g a conversion opportunity) including the ability to assign tasks to other users and track statuses.  Custom workflow for various activities including conversions, renewals, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, lapse pending policies and lapsed policies. The opportunity manager would also enable users to export opportunities to their CRM or other systems.

     

  5. IN FORCE ILLUSTRATIONS
    Direct integration with Life Carriers to run an in force illustration for your Clients.   This does require the cooperation of the Carriers and NIC is having conversations with multiple Carriers.

     

  6. POLICY SERVICES CHANGES
    Direct integration with Life Carriers to make and/or submit policy changes (e.g address change) to the Carrier.   This also requires the cooperation of the Carriers.
